The Original Sausage Balls

1lb. hot sausage (or mild, if you're a heat wimp)
3 c. Bisquick
10 oz. Cheddar cheese

Have sausage at room temp. Mix well with Bisquick.

Melt cheese in top of double boiler and pour over and mix well. Or, if you're really in a hurry, just use shredded cheese instead and skip the melting part.

Roll in small balls, put on cookie sheet and freeze or bake. If you freeze, store in a freezer bag after they initially freeze and become hard, so they won't stick together.

Bake 20 minutes if fresh, 30 minutes if frozen at 350.
